Skilled Care

Skilled Care is provided by licensed medical professionals, such as registered nurses (RNs) or licensed practical nurses (LPNs).These services are typically prescribed by a physician and focus on medical needs.

Who Needs Skilled Care?

Patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic illnesses, or requiring ongoing medical supervision benefit from skilled care.

Non-Skilled Care

Non-Skilled Care, also known as personal or companion care, provides
assistance with daily activities but does not require medical training. Caregivers help ensure clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
Help with mobility and transferring (e.g., getting in/out of bed)
Meal preparation and feeding assistance
Light housekeeping and laundry
Companionship and emotional support
Grocery shopping and errands
Medication reminders (but not administration)
Escorting to medical appointments
Assistance with toileting and incontinence care

Who Needs Non-Skilled Care?

Elderly individuals, people with disabilities, or those recovering from an illness who need help with daily activities but do not require medical attention benefit from non-skilled care.
